Digital Frontiers Media Expands with New Offices and Two New Employees

Sarasota multimedia production company Digital Frontiers Media (DFM) hires two new employees and moves into new offices to accommodate growth in sales.

SARASOTA, Fla. (November 5^th) – Digital Frontiers Media is the recipient of Salute to Business “Hiring Our Neighbors” award from the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce first Salute to Business.  The award was presented to Digital Frontiers Media October 22, 2012 at the “Winner’s Circle” event prior to the Greater Sarasota Chamber’s 92^nd Annual Meeting and Luncheon.  

“The fact that we are able to honor the Chamber Member businesses that are positivley impacting our community and moving it forward is truly gratifying,” remarked Greater Sarasota Chamber President, Steve Queior.

August 6, 2012 (Sarasota, Fl) – Digital Frontiers Media’s Marketing Director & New Media Analyst Chris Laney has been elected as the new “Technology Chair” for the Young Professionals of Sarasota. Since returning to Sarasota, Laney has been very involved in local projects and organizations by bringing technology to the forefront of member’s considerations.

“This is an amazing opportunity to join a leadership team of amazing young professionals looking to make Sarasota a better professional community. I’m honored the board has selected me for this opportunity of bridging technology and innovation with the other areas of YPG” Says Laney.

DrupalSRQ is part of an initiative by Digital Frontiers Media (DFM) with a goal to help foster the local Drupal community within the Sarasota/Bradenton and surrounding southwest Florida areas. The DrupalSRQ project plans to achieve this by empowering and enhancing the existing local network of web professionals through additional information streams (such as the DrupalSRQ website, itself) and additional support of the local Sarasota Drupal Meet-Up Group.

Digital Frontiers Media was been chosen winner of the 2012 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) for “Outstanding Achievement in Internet Advertising for their collaborative work on Augmented Reality with Miles Media. The Augmented Reality 3D experience for Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater takes you on a tour to some of the premiere destination locations in the area. Thousands have already engaged with it on VisitStPeteClearwater.com and the YouTube video demonstrating the experience has generated additional exposure. The video is posted or linked to on travel, business, technology websites around the world, including INC.com and Travolution.
