March 26, 2012 (Sarasota, FL)—Chris Laney, formerly VP of Marketing for Shamrock Media Group, has left his position to head the new marketing/sales division of Digital Frontiers Media.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to our team,” said DFM President Stephen Barker. “His experience and marketing savvy will be critical as we move to the next level.”

Laney brings with him an impressive record of accomplishments. At 17, he was the youngest Marketing Director in the history of Chick-Fil-A where he worked with area stores to grow community presence. He then became on-air talent for Lightforce Radio on WJIS The Joy FM before moving off-mic to become digital strategist for The Radio Training Network. In that position, he developed digital media and on-air packages for partners.

Later, Laney started Laney Media Group (LMG), a successful marketing, design and PR firm with clients including Chick-Fil-A, SignZoo, The Bradenton Herald and The Joy FM. In 2010 Laney moved to Nashville, joining Shamrock Media and helping to rebrand the company as a full-service artist development company and build it into one of the leading radio marketing companies in the country.

“I have known Stephen Barker for a few years now and his passion for digital development and understanding the importance of value, integrity and hard work goes beyond many I have found in my career,” said Laney. “I am honored to work under someone as intelligent and hard working as Mr. Barker.”

Laney will report to President Stephen Barker.
